Hey what's up, I have a no spark on my 80 xs650. It's a tci ignition and I made my own harness since the original one worked but was hacked up. Besides I wanted a cleaner wiring on my cafe build. Everything works except I get no spark. I get 12.46 to the coil but when I crank it drops down to 8.6 is that normal? I get 2.5 ohms in between the 2 connectors on the coil and I think what I need is around 3-4 ohms. Also when I check the secondary coil going from the connector to the plug wire I get nothing (just a test I looked up on youtube). It's just weird to me that I had spark with my old harness and now I don't. I'm sure it's something simple. Thanks

Never mind I found the problem. One of the connectors on the coil felt loose. I just pulled it out no problem, it broke off on the inside

Sounds like you were a victim of the infamous bad batch of MikesXS coils with the extremely failure-prone terminals.
