1982 Yamaha XS650 Heritage Special with 15,300 miles. 34 years old, needs additional work. This bike does run, but I do not recommend riding it, see the next line. No time for me to finish, your turn.
The bad: Low compression left cylinder, valve train noise, likely same side.
The not so bad: small dent in the tank, it's time for a chain and sprockets. Sprockets look ok, but likely original. Noisy starter Bendix.
$1000 in parts & you can imagine the hours.
Battery: New AGM Battery
Brakes: Newer pads and shoes, rebuilt master cylinder, and new caliper piston.
Tires: New Dunlop front tire and tube. Rear shows good tread, but is an older tire
Exhaust: Exhaust was sandblasted and painted with high heat header paint. New exhaust to head gaskets, and bumpers for kick and center stand.
Fuel system: tank is spotless inside, new manual (no vacuum shut off) petcock, new fuel lines, Carbs overhauled with kits, new idle needles, and 650 Central titanium performance metering rods. New carb manifold spigots. New butterfly shaft seals. New cross "T" between carbs. New fuel filter. New air filters. New choke plunger seals.
Electrical: New ignition switch. New OEM rear tail light lens. 90% of contacts disassembled and cleaned. Alternator brushes inspected and appear new. Timing and electronic advance checked to be working.
Oil changed with new oil and sump filters.
New vibration isolators for the handle bars and foot pegs.
Side cases wet sanded and buffed. Reinstalled with new gaskets.
As is. All sales final. No warranty expressed or implied.
