Got the new bars in the mail today. Me and my buddy threw em on tonight and played pretend for a bit ha. My garage is not yet heated and its below freezing so working out there right now is pretty rough, but we just got our mill, lathe, and welders moved in. :D:D:D

Today we got the new bars on, new grips, some grinding done, and a new throttle (not in pics)

Thanks guys...hub caps need to be altered to fit a bike rim..they unfortantly don't just snap in like on a car. You'll need to cut the fingers of the back of the cap so it will sit flush then drill a few holes in the cap in a triangle layout to bolt the two caps together...I just machined some spacers and bolted to those.

And yes the hard tails is from Travis....a super quality kit. I've used kits and while rear sections in every shape and form on past builds....thus far this is my most fav.

LOL... obviously I wasn't expecting to to Snap on, I was thinking of the diameters of the rim and hub cap... the rim being for a 15" rim and the bike being 16"... but on the outside diameter... I'll wait and see when the Hubcaps turn up. The caddy rims will look Awsome!

looks good doesnt the kit come with a cross bar to tie in the seat post?

i started play'n with some mags 2day the one in the pic still needs some work on the spoke part but the ball milling in the lip is cool. this is a pic of a xs400 wheel i had around the shop i needed a lab rat to give the jig i made a good test b4 a F'd up a good 650 wheel.

not bad for a test run with some fine tunning i think it will look bad ass on the build off bike and now if i ever get a xs400 i got a sweet wheel for the front of it:laugh:

Hey IrishPrick,
Nice work on the mag... have a look at this thread that belongs to Charlesincharge... I made CAD drawing for the rear mag Speed holes.... you'll find them in the thread.

Hahaha sorry man...I have a 16 in the rear and bought a 16 inch hubcap... It matches perfect.

Also a couple quick updates... Seat Mount is machined and done... I just need to attach the receiving end to the bike... And finished off the lower frame section... As well as a gusset where the top all comes together.

Girder? Dave makes a front end?

He has a girder that he has been dragging his feet on producing, he said when the order came in, he guessed that he'd have to build it! It took him about 8 months to do the tank he'd designed! Both of which I'd kill for if I had to nickles to rub together! lol!

Ok I think I'm saying screw waiting on the doc bills to come in.

Called voodoo vintage this morning to get a quote on their hard tail and a sphere electrical box. Waiting to hear back from them, and then I'm going to pull the trigger.

I love working with Dave. He's a good guy. He bends the tubing for my drop seat frames and hardtails, I sent him one of my seat pans and had him make one, I transferred all my seat pan work over to him also. I've been on him to make springer parts, I would buy them.

I might be the last guy to get a decent start. I have been blasting the cheap chrome off of my shovelhead wheels and working on the drawing for the new front hub. Cazn't complain about all the work lately. I took the whole week off from my day job and still never got to mine. Doing a Springer Softail now front to back but I'm coming soon!

The battery box is sorta a special request...he has been developing it for a little bit, but hasn't actually offered it as a standard part.

My idea is to create a push button on the battery box as well as place my key ignition.

I'll post pictures of the finish product once they arrive =)
