Moabiker's Tall Tales

Thanks for sharing all the photos. I have a set of the same yo mamma pipes to install and wonder if you have figured a way to add a mount other than the exhaust clamps. There is a supplied welded tab, but it does not seem well located - and there is no way I want to support them off the alloy cover! Also, do you have a picture of the liquid filled isolation pads on the motor mounts? Curious as to what those look like.

All 3 bikes i fix up only have header bolts for pipe mounts...none support rear. My welder buddy gonna get work soon as that deficiency needs to get addressed before owner back to see his 3 dead bikes alive...the liquid filled isolation pads special..if you send me some money i make some and send em to ya! Do not believe everthing you read on the internet....especially if I wrote it...if you read rest of that you see it part of my dumb joke...maybe old owner thought 650 an open road small goldwing my thoughts on his "excessive" vibration.

Aside from tourism - what do folks do for a living there? What sustains the local economy - perhaps its mining?

Aside from tourism - what do folks do for a living there? What sustains the local economy - perhaps its mining?[/QUOTE ]Minining uranium went away in the 70's. Tourism is mostly it. Millionaire business peep here starts with 2 mil. Just a big outdoor adventure center...seasonal work..tons low pay jobs unfilled and high turnover...nirvana has its own problems!!!!
.ooops something went wrong here...i got in your quote...my unofficial record and claim is not many have spent as much time over the last 50 years on bikes as me...not too many come close....and half of that time is at a stop....maybe balanced bike on top of picnic table...hmm balanced extremely well in some ways, others not so much...so as long as i get my rides in today i will figure out how to ride tomorrow... Kinks style...on a low budget.
