74-75 Round Front Master Cylinder

Rebuilding a master cylinder and have a mystery part. A round sheet metal disc in the rebuild kit that was not in the m/c when I took it apart. Is this where it goes ?

Is this the spot for the round bronze colored disk of metal ?

I just used the same kit. That's where I put it.
It was a little bit of a pain to get the rubber tit on the puck through the hole in the end of the spring.

It's the only place that makes any sense to go . Glad to get some confirmation that it's going to fly
