Build date 12/74. Did all xs650 in 75 have a metal headlight bucket that accepted a 7 inch light? The reason I ask is I received my XS with some of its parts in boxes. It came with a 7" bucket/light and a 5 3/4 light no bucket. My 7 inch bucket only has one hole in the back and it is made of a plastic like material but very rigid. Pics below. Thanks.

I don't think any 650 ever had a plastic headlight bucket.

I'm not sure that's much of an upgrade. The original headlight bucket AND turn signals were pretty heavily rubber mounted, and for good reason - these bikes vibrate alot. You hang that turn signal off that skinny stud like in your 1st pic and I can guarantee you it won't be there long, lol.
