silly question, how would I know what size the carbs are? Measure the ID of the intake?

I have a set of 38's. They had a bunch of work done to them 5 years ago but the bike has never been started since. I will be using the Mikuni 34's for the replacements. I know the gas was drained from them before the guy parked it. Make an offer. I am in Victoria, BC, Canada. V8V3N1... cheers

Ah ya... that would be helpful... 1979 as far as I can tell. The motor in my 79 had been replaced with a 447 engine so who knows if they kept the carbs.. but I would assume they did. It was replacement float bowls and a cleanout. I will fetch the bill (it came with then bike when I purchased it) and post it up.

The bill states: 2 Carb kits, 2 used float bowl drain bolts, 1 used carb float. Carbs, clean adjust and rebuild. Again.. this was done in August 2005. Not sure when he parked it but it was soon after... and it sat outside for years. I bought in Summer 2009.
