83 carbs for a 81?

I was wondering if anyone knows if a set of mik carbs off a 83 would fit and work on my 81? I am asking cause they look different in the pics than the ones I have now, and I am not sure and dont want to get stuck with a set of carbs I cant use. Any help?

Yes, swap the choke arrangement (the parts that look different), your golden.

Yes the 83 has a handlebar mounted choke lever (a very nice feature by the way) search choke rod for details and a trick or two on the swap.
