Only about 60......not far then.....
The orifice at the base of the head supply tube being plugged is popular.
Michael Morse claims a flat track racer made it through a season with a plugged up head oil supply..
Well i belive i found my problem i think my oil pump went out n i didnt realize where i dont have a tach any more but bet ur ass on whos getting a shinny new one but then i looked a bit closer n seen this none of my othe motors have this
How cuz belive me wen i say no oul to a head u get wat i have scrap
So i found my problem 100%
I just need an opinion as to weather this bottom end is even usable now any help or thoughts r appreciated
Personally I wouldn’t reuse it, because if it were to fail again that would suck as much as it did this time.
I mean just the bottom end only crank con rods gears n clutch that sorta stuff
I'm no sure, someone will know, if the tachometer is eliminated does the gear that drives it have to remain in place in order for oil pump to operate?
No ........the shaft can be taken out...........
because the XS650 hardly creates any oil pressure when warmed up, a pressure gauge is all but useless, so a taco is about the only thing that can indicate a broken oil pump.
