Adjust position of the camshaft?

What is the source of the 67 Euro style breather? Someone selling them? Like the look. Is the hose barn on that breather angled to the left or right as well to direct the hose away from the frame tube?
Heiden Tuning, I posted the link for it earlier in this thread.(post #9)
I have no other info than the picture and link, but it looks like it is angled slightly downwards.
How that would be a problem, I do not really understand. I swapped my old large/ dual breather for the later single type, and connected the free standing type reed valve with a short hose, without much trouble. Fitting that integrated, 67 Euro unit should require a lot less space. Just a hose down/ back, into a catch bottle or an air filter arrangement. Or just into the atmosphere.

Got it thanks. Just rerouted the hose for mine and will wait to see how it holds up once things get hot.

Hi again
finally I got the ventilation valve, the cheaper one.
articxs: did you fix it only on that one borehole opposite the IN-tube? Where? There are two more holes next to the OUT-tube (see arrow), and I asked myself what for...
Thanks

I used a very short hose between a single outlet oem breather, and the reed valve inlet stub, so it is just hanging on that tube. Doesn't really weigh much.

impossible to fix it with the 2-V-exit, no space, maybe underneath the carburettors, now trying to find the right hose, or transform the V into 1 exit...

I know, thanks, but still no room there for the valve. Either I run a hose down and set the valve under the carburettor or I adjust the breather exit, cut the Y off and put a hose barb there

Finally I installed the valve, under the carburettors, plugged the second exit, and it seemed to work, but unfortunately after about 50km again oil leaking... I guess I´ll have to change the cylinder food gasket.

Hello again
finally I changed the cylinder foot gasket (and head). Unfortunately it´s still sweating a bit on the foot, especially on the right side (before it was the left side leaking), leaving a tiny stream. Can that happen at the beginning? Will it go away? I think in general I did a good job, there weren´t any problems, and I re-tightened the cylinder head bolts.
Peter

Other question: does the correct function of the reed valve depend on the length of the hose (valve to breather exit)?
Thanks.

When you changed the base gasket did you check to see if there was any issues with a burr or a mark where it’s leaking?

Yes, I checked that. I couldn´t see anything particular. There were tiny scratches, but very tiny, I imagine that´s why there is the paper gasket to put in. I also put a very thin layer of liquid sealant on the gasket. - changed the gasket because it was leaking on the left side. Now it´s leaking on the right side, the left side is sweating a bit...

The problem was the gasket. I spoke with a specialist working on XS for more than 30 years. He said all the usual cylinder base gaskets sold on the market like the Athena that I put in (twice!) never work. So he had made his own gaskets with a special material. I put in one of them, now it´s 100% dry
