Who has a favorite old mug that they use every day? I’ve had this mug for over 30 years. The P.O. Sent me to Los Angeles for three weeks for training and they had a little gift shop there. I bought this and it has been my everyday mug for three decades, it has the earlier logo that was in effect from 1970 to 1993.

after that, they changed to the new Sonic logo,

So am I the only creature of habit that has a mug with decades of use? Haha! :laugh2: Years ago I used to go to this Neighborhood donut shop, they had rows of peg boards on the wall and all the regulars would hang their own mugs on the wall.
Anyone else?

There are hooks in the cupboard with a couple of dozen cups hanging off them.

There are 2 or 3 I use all the time. They are Gelavia advertising cups. Just the right size and weight and they keep my coffee hot.

My Navy cups have gone on display but they have some serious miles on them.

Front and back of the cups I used as a student and an instructor in Pensacola. On left was my "student" cup. Front is E6 shoulder patch, back is a cartoon of the "Classic Outboard" system I was being trained on.

On right is my CPO cup after I made E7 and was an instructor/course manage/Master Training Specialist. Front is CPO insignia, back is the NAVSECGRU Maintenance logo. (NAVSECGRU is Navy Speak for Naval Security Group)

Cup from Iceland where I was the (Acting) Facilities Maintenance Officer. Job slotted for an O3 (Lt.) but he got medevac'd off the island and I flew that desk for several months. CPO emblem and NSGA Keflavik Iceland Command logo. (NSGA means NAVSECGRU Activity). We did...ummmmm...."communications research".

That’s a nice collection! There’s just something about a keepsake mug that warms your heart when you use it.

I have 1 cup I use most of the time... had it longer than I can remember. Also have a Royals and a Chiefs cup I put in the rotation from time to time.

Ha! That looks like it’s got some miles on it! I knew I couldn’t be the only creature of habit around here. :)

Used this one for years. Retired it when I came to the conclusion there may never be a new edition. I keep hoping though.

That’s your lucky mug! Hope springs eternal!

That looks like it would outlast me for sure...probably my kids too!

Jim You need to wash your cup more often.

:boxing: Next you’ll be tryin to tell people to wash their coffee pots too! That’s where all the flavor lives!

Cup of choice now. The spoon it in was a wedding present to my mothers parents. They received 6 spoons from a friend and were told there was 1 for each child they would have. Sure enough they had 6 kids. They were married in 1908.
I washed the cup before taking the pic.

I had a female Petty Officer do the office a "favor" and wash all our cups.

I think I was like third in line to hand her a SERIOUS ass-chewing.

Rinse it out, sure. Maybe, in extreme circumstances (like green fur growing in the bottom) wipe it out with a damp paper towel.

But WASH it?

Had a young lady in our Sqdn. do the same. Was a mistake she never repeated.

Shouldn’t a Snap On cup be dipped in chrome? :laugh2: It’s funny, but I’ve also got a baby spoon that was one of my kids, that is always stored in my mug. It measures out the perfect amount of sugar. :)
