I picked up a seat pan for an early 70s DT1. I'm wondering if I should try to adapt it for use. Has anyone done this or seen it? A search revealed very little, but I'm probably doin it wrong...

Thanks all!

An early DT1 seat pan fits the XS650 frame perfectly. However, it is not just a bolt on -- it requires some creativity, fabrication and custom bumpers to mount it. Here's mine, I believe it is a 1970, with the stock foam shaved way down and an aftermarket replacement seat cover from eBay.

I've been thinking about a Yamaha Enduro seat on a street scrambler build. I picked up a HT1(90cc?) Will definitely have to modify the hinges and the latch to make it work. Kinda looks like it was made for it, though. With the stock tank, it sits closer to the rear loop than DogBunny's, if I remember right.

I mocked mine up today. Length sits right at the rear loop with the stock (78 standard) tank installed. Width is perfect. Now I just need 2 things.
1. Fabricate some hinge and latch mounts.
2. Figure out what to pad and cover it with!
