anyone familiar with the honda cb650???

just curious if anyone knows how you are supposed to check the oil....there is no sight glass only a dipstick so i assume you check it hot on the sidestand, anyone know if that is right? didnt know if maybe you checked it straight up and down....i tried a honda website and know one is answering my question, so i thought i would try my luck with you guys since i usually get speedy responses here. thanks.

I am building a CB650 for a buddy of mine. I was told to check it on the center stand, not the side stand
