Just thinking out loud but I wonder how hard it would be to get the iron band out of the hub? Thinking about a disk conversion on a drum rear spoke hub.

1976,77,78,79 KZ 750 twin....18" cush drive, spoked, disc brake....also had Mikuni BS 38 carbs btw....chain drive sprocket + spokes + disc rotor = very interesting competing forces one might think?

Yeah i have the whole set up from the KZ on the shelf, that sucker weighs about twice what the XS650 rear does and the sprocket is way wide of where the XS sprocket needs to be.
