Hopefully someone here can help me out with this. I see that Mike's has fork tubes for '72-73, but will they fit XS1 or 1b? If not, would anyone know where I can source a set of fork tubes for a '71, new or used but nice? Looks like Frank's is out of business temporarily.
Thanks in advance,

They are very different, and absolutely will not work.
I have a nice pair of vintage 1970-1971 Frank's forks that are extended 12cm. A machinist can cut them down to stock size and re-thread the ends for the cap bolts. They are otherwise turn-key, and can be used as is.

BTW, I spoke to someone who had Frank's make a pair of 70-71 forks fairly recently. The cost was over $400, and there was a considerable amount of work that the buyer still had to do. This consisted of drilling out the pins and removing the bottom components of his old tubes, and putting them on the new tubes. So, a donor pair of forks was required.
