Wow, I never new you Yanks were into our M&R scene!
We used to witness the punch-ups between the Mods n Rockers at the seaside towns in the sixties ( I used to ride sidecar with my Dad & mum - Triumph Thunderbird )
Even to this day if youre over a certain age youre asked which tribe you belonged too !
- rockers n bodgies rule ...levis, leather pants, leather jacket, boots or winkle pickers, open face helmet n goggles, white silk scarf, cafe racer, rock n roll, hard rock...the ton up boys, ace cafe
Yeah, brilliant day out, Boxhill for brekky then Madeira Drive by noon. Actually missed it last year for the first time in ten years - the XS was playing up..
Back in the mid 60s we here in NY had our own version of the Mods vs Rockers only ours was the Hoods vs Squeeks. Maybe some of the old timers on this board will remember this?.............BG
