Banshee mod.

Just starting on resurrecting a 1980 special.
Am looking at giving it a t120 makeover and rephase.
If I do the banshee upgrade is it necessary to retain the old battery box. I hear talk of small gel battery.
Would like to have some plate under seat to mount electrics.

With the permanent magnet alternator you can run with no battery or a small battery or capacitor. I actually just did the PMA swap on the one I'm fixing and wired the regulator straight to ground and the coils to test the engine.
