I have finally put my bike back together with all new charging components with the exception of the stator and a used rd400 rectifier. Running a vr115 regulator, new rotor and brushes. However it doesn't appear I am charging. I am confident the battery is shot though. When I have a meter on it I can watch the voltage slowly drop with it on the bench. Would this be a cause to not see a voltage increase when revving above 3k rpm? Highest I've seen was 13 flat no matter how high I revved. Should I wait for the new battery and test again or does it sound like I've got issues elsewhere on top of a bad battery?
