Beer

Yuengling,
Good to see someone else mention Yuengling, America's Oldest Beer Maker.
I always have a six pack in the fridge.
I mentioned it in my Pandemic Cuisine thread last year, here (post #30):

...and everyone just scratched their heads :laugh2:
"Yuengling??"

Yuengling is a really good beer but i must admit, the name is puzzling. Someday, I will look up the origin of it.

Yuengling is an Anglicized version of Jüngling, its founder's surname and the German term for a "young person” or “youngster”. The family-owned brewery has traditionally changed ownership through the purchase of the company by the offspring of the previous owner.

Aye, St. Paddys Day. I was all about it in my youth as I'm 1/4 Irish. In my mid twenties I asked my Irish grandmother, Black Bess, what she could tell me of leprechauns, shamrocks, banshees and such......
"Oh Honey, I don't know anything about that." she replied
"But you're Irish." I said
"Yes, but we're Orangemen,"
I now feel compelled to drink Amstel or Heineken on St. Paddys Day..........
