Best way to fix an air leak

well I guess you'd need to kneel down first ;)

then you'd look to see where soapy bubbles were not staying where you put them but were getting sucked into a leak gap. Works fine on my Porsche vacuum system and that is a lot tougher to access than the XS believe me.

If it doesn't work what have you lost WER ?? ........... :)

I'm not worried about originality. After I found out you only need 1 petcock I immediately wanted to remove and seal the hole. Specifically my left side because that's the one that is leaking and it would save me the trouble of rebuilding something. I'm just not sure if I'm going to keep my stock tank, so I don't want to waste money if I don't keep it.

As far as petcocks go, if I remove the vacuum lines and cap the bungs, can I use a stock petcock in the prime position while the bike is running? After I turn the engine off, I can move it to on or reserve. Since no vacuum is being drawn on it, it should stop the flow of fuel.
