    Kingwj I know nothing, nothing!

America is fucked. The second amendment has allowed 1.5 guns per person to flood the country and the solution of the NRA and it's proponents is more guns. As I said, we are fucked.

In China they run over people with cars. Blaming the guns is the same as blaming the cars.

And in England they use sticks. And it works because the victim can't own a gun to defend her/himself. I'm getting older and I don't know if I could win a stick fight anymore :)

Evil hands find what they need to do evil. Cain killed Abel with a stone.

Ban the Stones! They are old and suck now anyway!:gun::guns:

This is a fun thread. Arguing over something that will never, ever happen. I'm sure the American tax payer has no problem with finding a way to pay someone to go door to door and take all the guns. How many are out there? Lets see. I think they sold about 11 million in 2010 alone. Over 500,000 stolen each year.
Even if they stopped selling right now, that leaves 150 years of production firearms sold.
"Oh why yes Mr. Governmentman. Here are my guns. Oh, and I'm sure Bob has no problem giving you the ones he stole. Thank you for your help."

And what I meant about the humans coming across the river is that, if they can't stop them, and the drugs, how do they stop guns from being sold illegally that are already in the country.

I'm gonna go to work now. I'm tired and will travel at a high rate of speed in the dark, on the cell phone, drinking coffee and complain about people doing illegal things.

They thought Waco was just a routine gun seizure too. Remember that? ATF was, "going to remove guns from a bad person". What was that, 80+ killed?

  11. During the Revolutionary War, the standing armies -Brit and Colonial- were armed with smooth bored muskets for the most part. A smooth bored musket in the hands of someone that knows their firearm can possibly hit a pie pan at 100 yards. IIRC it was in Saratoga, N.Y. where a citizen soldier took out a Brit officer on horseback with his own RIFLE at 300 +/- yards.......sent a shock wave back in Blighty that the colonials were using rifles. So much for the citizens being better armed than the government.........
The 2nd amendment is there to allow us to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government. Who determines when a government is tyrannical?
Speaking from one whos family has lived under the occupation of 4 governments here through the centuries.

I am a card carrying member of the Sons of the American Revolution and Decedents of the French and Indian War. My direct family has been here a long time, all military, all fought for what we have so others can find a way to hide behind the rights given to them, 'cuz they feel the need to take and not have to earn them.

I was taught how to shoot by my father, who only used a flintlock to blackpowder hunt. I must say, I can hit a target from quite a distance with my Lehigh County. My father would shoot tennis balls at 350 yrds with a .36cal flintlock. Luck? Nope. He understood what they could do.

In the hands of someone who, first, respects a weapon and knows how to use it, I don't care if it's 300 yr old matchlock or a little .22, it can be dangerous. But see I understand that they are dangerous and have no place in certain situations. I am not a person who gets all their knowledge of weapons from video games or books or TV. I learned because I was taught, hands on.
I know people who tell me all kinds of crap about rifles and pistol. They have never even shot one. I had a guy come into work a few months ago and tell me that Glocks are the most dangerous pistol to own. I asked him why he came to that conclusion. Because someone told him that he said. So why do people say this stuff? Because they are lemmings, that's why. Like the idiot, uneducated asses that use the term "sniper" to define a crazy SOB shooting people from a car. That is not a "sniper", that is a crazy person with a gun. A "Sniper" is a trained shooter, usually military. But the media says something and now everyone believes it.
Unfortunately some do not share my respect for a gun, but that's ok. I know how dangerous my guns are and I can think for myself.
I also know that Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than any of my guns.

You need an assault stick:poke: . Rocks seem to be popular in many villages

"I know not with what weapons world war 3 will be fought, but world war 4 will be fought with sticks and stones"..I know you know who said that.

Ha ha. Since we're bragging, I had a gramps at Valley Forge, although he seems to have arrived in the spring following the famous winter. Smart of him. Another gramps was a buckskin wearing irregular of some kind on the Va,and Nc frontier.

Killed a couple of men in the 1920's (justified, but went to jail for one because it was over a poker game, with corn liquor, during prohibition, so 18 months in Eddyville prison for 'ol granddad Whitt!

Eddyville prison in Kentucky? Is there another prison by that name? I had an uncle of some generations back sent to the electric chair there for murder. A cold-blooded hillbilly revenge ambush in the woods.

My first ancestors that I know of were here in 1710, as German Palatine refugees sent to the Hudson Valley. I like to watch Last of the Mohicans because they lived in that area in that time frame.

if we get rid of our guns, there will be more stabbings, if we get rid of all the knives we will have more stoning s, if we get rid of our stones we will have more beatings... humans have been killing each other for decades.

In Seattle there has been several shootings. In the last 3 months about 90% were gang related, 1% were kids getting a hold of there parents guns, 4% were people shooting burglars, and the other 5% were domestic disputes.

so ask your self (people who think we should get rid of our guns) if there is a person out there that is willing to kill for some thing you have or do harm to you or your family for pleasure, don't you want to defend your self with the best?? keep in mind that almost all the people that have done the mass killings like v tech and the mother fucker that shot 20 kids in Connecticut, all had some sort of mental illness...so my question to the people that hate is, is it the gun that is at fault or is it the person that bought the gun??
