Peace be with you. My thinking was since that adjustment on a '34 is a broad plateau, might not someone be able to glance at the needle and estimate how far out it is. E.g. sticking through 1/16" is seated, Even with the throat is two turns out, not visible is three or more, etc. (just guessing).
The only way I have ever used is turns out from a "light" seat . I probably should emphasize A LIGHT SEAT.
If you can feel the screw stop at all it's seated. Most irreparable damage done to these carbs is done by burying the mixture screw in the body and ruining the seat and screw.
As if I haven't elaborated enough here there are details that may come up. If anyone is really intent on getting rid of the airbox, keeping the 36's or 38's, and using individual filters I do have some experience and ideas that I'll share off thread/forum .
