Has anyone completely tore down a XS2 motor only to find the new OEM cam chain is like 1/2 link too short? Also I should mention that the tensioner is out of the cylinders. What am I doing wrong? There appears to be 50 links on the chain. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Scull. Let me ask you this. Will the entire cam chain tensioner assembly sprocket and all on a XS2 come out of the cylinders without removing the head and the cylinders? Thanks.

Yes, and it's recommended that you do that first before pulling the camshaft, head, and cylinders.

And, this one. Note that the problem was caused by the "Cylinder Guide Bar Nuts" ...
