Can a key be made or obtained? 75 xs650

The only key was stolen out of the ignition during a garage break in.
Little shits stole two cans of gasoline and took the key from the motorcycle.

Anyone had to get a new key made. I am hoping a locksmith could make one if I brought the ignition switch in.

Appreciate any comments.

Look on eBay. The key code is stamped on your ignition face. You might get lucky.

Something like this may work. I would also just like to add consider getting a new ignition. During a break in your only key was stolen, once you make a copy, 2 people have the key for your bike, you and a thief. If you don’t think they will come back then go for it and make a copy, but just consider the alternative as well. My

I was about to list the bike for sale. Of course with a new ignition, I still can't unlock the gas tank, seat lock or forks.
I have seen that the 75 and earlier use a different style key from 76 and onward.

This place makes keys for model based on ignition number. Seem to make keys for many brands.
