Hi,

My idle is not stable\running rough... Can an electrical problem be an issue?

-The carbs just got cleaned out. (Jet, mixture screw, pilot, float height adjusted ....)
-No air leaks on carb holders...
-Petcock is fine...
-XS air filters are clean....
-Cam chain was adjusted last summer..

The battery is good and timing was done two years ago...
I have the green coil, PMA and Pete E-Advancer.

Everything was running great for the last two years.

Thx.

Timing done 2 years ago............ Check and may need to redo.

Cam chain done last summer. ............Need to check and redo if necessary

Check and redo tappets if necessary.

Load test the battery.........I suspect it isn't new and been sitting for some time

Hi Gary and Pete,

I never did change the throttle seals.
Sprayed carb cleaner to find air leaks without success.
I will definitely change them.

As for the battery, it was fully charged. But i will try it on load without the PMA connected as you suggested.

Thx for the feedbacks, really appriciate.

Hi,

Here is some updates:

Idle is still unstable/ seems like its puffing air outside the air intake of carbs...

Timing is fine
Cam chain is fine
Battery fully charged:no changes
Battery full charged with Pma out : no changes

Sprayed everywhere to find air leaks without success... Even near the throttle seals...

I Will change the seals tonight..
I'm suspecting something with the float needle... float height was good.
