A quick carb problem question.
This spring I rebuilt my carbs on my bike.
They are the 76 BS38"s
I used kits from XS Direct which for I would not recommend for they do not use the OEM jet size. I ended up using my old main and pilots as the jetting on my bikes was bang on.(I rebuilt the carbs out of sheer bordom, they worked just fine).
now when I cold start my bike, the bike starts and wants almost no choke but will not stay running without a bit of throttle.
Before the bike would start with choke.bike fired right up,idle up to about 1500 rpm for about 5 seconds, then stumble rich, flip choke off idle on it's own at 1100 rpm.Awesome.
I guess if it ain't broke.,don't fix it.
And yes I did use the new choke plungers from the kit.
Maybe I should take them and put them with the jets from the kit!
Anyone else experience similar problems?
