I have an '80 with a set of bs34's and bought the Heiden Dyno Tune Needle & Jet Kit off Mikesxs.

After installing it seems like the slides fall a bit slower but also don't go all the way down like they do with the stock needles. I tried changing out the needlejet's but that didn't seem to have an effect. Also, it seems the right side sits about 1/8" higher than the left. Will it be okay to run on the carbs as is or is there something I need to do or fix?

Thanks

Hi,
As I remember the needle plastic bushing has a pin that has to locate in a hole in the slide. If it doesn't, the needle won't sit straight and can hang up. You might want to pull the carb cover and check that.
