Carb sync through air barb?

Hello I was wondering if it would work to sync the carbs using the air barbs? I think that’s what you call it (where the petcock vacuum hose connects) This is on a 79 XS650 with BS38. I accidentally bought the wrong 5mm adapter but it takes the 6mm. I switched to non vacuum petcocks previously so the barbs aren’t being used.

Yes, that's usually where you hook the manometer to, if you have those vacuum barbs. They only came on '78 and newer manifolds.

Just make sure you cap the barbs when not in use. You'll have giant air leaks if you don't.
