Charging problem

Trying to figure out a charging problem with my 75 yamaha xs650.
Been following curley's guide and can't seem to figure out my problem. Also I have a aftermarket reg/rectifier combo that the previous owner put in. Curley's guide doesnt tell you how to check for that. So far my bike does not pass the feeler gauge test. My rotor is reading 5.2 ohm between the rings, have current to my brushes and a new battery. Thinking it could be my reg/rectifier or stator. If anyone could shine some light on this I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.

My regulator rectifier also has 8 wires coming out of it and is not connected to a plastic piece with the diodes inside. How to test? Pictures below.

Yes. I made a jump from the green wire on he reg/rec, started and rev'd it. Nothing. Im pretty sure my reg/rec is fried.
