Right outta high school I worked in a body shop. Production shop. Went from detailing to sanding to the body shop. Wouldn’t trade a minute. And yeah, the snap on truck rolled in every week.I tried to buy 1 thing a week.
Old tools are like old gloves.... they just feel right...
Continental American metric combo wrench set. Made in West Germany. Bonus points if you remembered there used to be 2 Germany's. Bought these in 1969 (ish). 10-19MM. Somewhere along the way I've lost the 13MM. I've got several Craftsman sets... but somehow these are the ones I always reach for first.
Bought this 1/4" S-K ratchet about the same time. You can't throw a cat in my garage without hitting a Craftsman ratchet.... yet this is the one I always grab.
How many of y'all remember when Popular Mechanics branded tools? I think I belonged to the "tool of the month" club... or some such silliness.
Bonney offsets....
Williams 5/8" single open end. I can date this one to between 1924 and 1947.
