I'm in need of the choke lever that goes on the 81-83 left switch assembly. The cable would be nice also.

Well there goes my retirement funds! I was just out in the barn pulling a cable and lever off a 1983 control!

Did that lever grizld1 is sending come with the friction spring washer and attaching screw?

The washer is there but not the screw. The usual tricks (penetrating oil, tweaking, hammer impact driver) wouldn't budge the nasty rascal, had to resort to the drill press. The washer appeared to be a regular flat washer.

The washer I was referring to is not the one on the screw, but the one between the lever and the housing:

Might not be obvious in picture above but it is dished to act as a spring to hold the choke lever in position and also not rattle.

I've got a pretty good selection of spring washers, but I'll let you know if I need it.

I'll take that to mean you might have something that might work if you spend enough time digging. Spare yourself the headache, the part is on the way.

Okay then now that Jim seems to be all set I'll put my parts back in storage.
With any luck I will be able to remember where that is for the next person!
