My brother and I are in the middle of rebuilding our 1st xs650. We are awaiting for our sleeves to be returned from the machine shop for the installation of our pistons. The hard tail frame has been fitted for tank, seat and brake fixtures and is ready for paint. We have studied the different charging systems and I think we will go with the banshee system. Now here is where we need held from you guys. Which ignition system works well with the banshee. Or another big question. Should we go another route. And exactly what is needed in any of these systems as far as "little black boxes". I hope you guys get what I'm trying to ask. Anyway, anything will help.

Hi, I use the Boyer Bransden system, although that needs a battery. A lot of the guys on here use the Pamco system which can work with a capacitor, eliminating the need for a battery.
In the tech section there are many diagrams for you to look through, ranging from very basic all the way through to stock.
