I found a project I picked up a few months ago that already had a hardtail welded on and was looking to switch it up a bit to have it suit the style I was interested in. This is my first rebuild project and while I'm willing to put in (and already have) countless hours into it, I've run into a few bumps of inexperience. One major issue I'm having is that whoever built this bike had a tail light built into the fender; the original plastic cover must have broken at some point because the one that was on it when I picked it up was a cover for a blazer taillight that was taped on with electrical tape and the holes weren't matching up. I measured the distance between the holes and measured the imprint on the fender from what looks like what used to be on the bike and scowered the internet to no avail.

Is this something I'm going to have resin molded? Is there a trustworthy company or individual that would be able to create a custom fitting that you can recommend? As difficult as finding a simple solution for this could be - I would like to keep it as is and just replace it with a proper fitting cover.

Have you ever bought a customized bike to find strange, uncommon or one of a kind pieces broken that you've wanted to repair?
