clutch conical spring related

Hi,
Am asking if the 82 XS clutch conical spring pieces are worth using, or just do the stacking sequence without putting them back in with the 6 friction basket plate set up?
Could it help or hurt on the neutral problems these models do have, after being warmed up?
Also other than the normal recommended clutch adjustments procedures, any other suggestions to help this well known issue would be mostly appreciated by me
and i am quite sure several other forum members also?

That conical spring plate at the bottom of the stack is a damper. It makes the clutch engage nice and smoothly. I wouldn't leave it out.
