I use a Kawasaki lever and perch assembly because the lever pivot is like 3 to 4 times as wide as the original 650 lever .....
I'm pretty sure you can get a dogleg lever for it but I never did. There is one small "gotcha" with this assembly though. The distance between where the cable end ball hooks in the lever and the adjuster is much less than on the original. This adds lots more freeplay to the cable .....
But the "fix" is pretty easy. You need to fab up a little spacer to take up the extra cable slack. You make it from the elbow off an old clutch cable .....
..... then fit it on the cable above it's elbow .....
