Hey guys, So Ive made the proper adjustments per the manual but it still seems like Im having clutch slipping issues! The bike pulls fine through the first 3 gears and after that it seems to still be slipping! So what would you guys suggest as far as replacement plates and springs??

Thanks in Advance,

XsC

You can measure the friction plate thickness but they are usually OK. Just replace the springs. Get one of the brand name replacements from 650Central, not the no-name ones from Mike's.

Just had to replace some plain plates in mine, they were blue where they'd got so hot, and one was blue in a couple of places where it must be warped.

When you have the clutch apart use some 120 or so grit sand paper glued to a flat surface to rub the friction and steel plates on to remove any glazing. A figure eight pattern works well.
On the steel plates they are made by stamping them out of sheets, this leaves burrs on the edges. Use a bit of the sandpaper to remove the burrs. This will let the steel plates slide on the hub and basket with less binding.
