Correct Brake Fluid Reservoir Cap

Hi Guys,

I am brand new to the Forum and this is my first post. So here goes. I am restoring my first bike, a 1975 XS650, to hopefully, showroom condition. Attached is a picture of two caps. The on the right is the one which came with the bike. But because it is faded, and because I found an NOS for it (at least so I'm told) I took the plunge and bought it. Obviously one or both are incorrect. I called them and they reassured me that the one they sent me is correct (one on the left). Does anyone know? Appreciate your help!

The part number on the package, 360-25852-00-00, is correct. If the package was un-opened, then I would I assume they sent you the right part.
I do think that the caps originally had the stickers on them. And, I know that MikesXS used to sell replica master cylinders with caps that had the stickers, and which looked exactly like your one on the right. However, I don't know if that's what your old cap was, the original or a replica.
