Are the stock breathers supposed to have a screw and a plug like this? I just got the bike running and i had a lot of pressure wheni would unscrew the dipstick. I found this when i took apart the breather:
No, that hole should be open to let crankcase pressure out. Too much pressure can start blowing out oil seals. Originally, a rubber hose vented that hole into the airbox so any oil fumes would get recycled through the carbs and motor. If you eliminate the airbox and run pod filters, most of us either add a small filter to the end of the hose or use a power brake check valve. The check valve is preferred by most of us because it only flows out, not back in.
