Crazy question

Is there any chance in hell I could make my xs 650 a belt vs chain driven motor??? Thoughts? insults for asking such a dumb question? Ridicule from my peers? Im pretty sure I know the answer but just in case I thought id ask.

Welp.....see..........I have never ridden a motorcycle, my wife has. I am in a Welding Fab Class sooooooooooo. I am making a motorcycle frame and forks. I have an xs650 to be used as a motor. Well the Rims and wheels I found that I like are off of a Kawasaki en500 and the one I am getting is set up for a belt. Its a trial and error process......Especially when your welding teacher isnt all there.

Even with the rims and wheels off another bike I would think it would be easier to swap out the rear sprocket and run a chain versus, fabbing up a bunch of shit for a belt...
