Attached is a picture of the mufflers cut off, with the goopy welded stock baffles hanging on the end?
This isn't mine, I took a sawzaw to mine and cut about a half inch shorter just before the baffle that's welded on. What's left is a head pipe with a few layers in it, did I screw myself to baffle my exhaust or put another muffler system on it?
I'd like to know how exactly these drag baffles fit onto a straight header set up, do you just slide them in one of the layers, and clamp them?

Then, if I went with this exhaust tip, could I just clamp it on the outside?

I'm just really unsure how everything fits into place, how firm it has to be, and if it needs welding. Oh, and if I cut too far up on my pipes to do anything.
Thanks guys. I really do appreciate the help, without this site my bike wouldn't be my everyday driver how it is now.
