I received a package from DADDY G today and couldn't be happier, he is obviously not in it for the $$ here is the PM i sent him,

"SHIT Rich!!!! how do you do it ! i am so impressed what awesome value and great quality. Excellent instructions / diagramm and a help line!
You have removed the high level of anxiety i had about undertaking the wiring and I cant wait to give it a go.
Cheers Mitch "

I feel so lucky to have such a great resource as this forum, the tech articles, the sharing of information and the mature expressions of encouragement is an awesome thing. Far superior to Facebook where everyone is correct and it can only be done their way people are so greedy and you can't search tech info.

This is my first bike build , my hobby background is VW busses "kombis" as we call them in Aussie. Once upon a time we had amazing VW forums here much like this but with the invent of facebook they have tragically become ghost forums. I hope this never happens here and we never take this site for granted.

One time I sent him money for some used part and he said it was gone or couldn't find it or something. Next thing I know a package arrives with a NEW part in it that he'd ordered and sent to me. Amazing. So I give him props every chance I get in return.

yes Facebook and other social media sites are a damn curse . I've seen several good specialist Classic Bike and Scooter Forums go under in the past 5 years due to members being suckered into SM sites instead. Thousands of small isolated groups with no real community spirit and very few posts .

DADDY G ...........well he's old skol . He's the sort of guy that will leave what he's working on to come out and sort out a problem on your bike , show you how to troubleshoot and diagnose the problem , fit a used part from his personal stash and most times probably not take anything for it . The pleasure of seeing the smile on an owners face and being able to pass on decades of experience is the priceless reward

I'm pretty computer savvy (I build my own) but I avoid those social media sites like the plague. Many are loaded with spyware and viruses. As the old saying goes, if you want to catch fish, fish where the fish are. Those sites are loaded with people who do nothing more with their computers than send e-mails and surf the web. They'll click on anything that moves, lol.
