I have a 1979 pre-electronic ignition model. My battery now doesn't seem to now be charging anymore. I've checked if the rotor is magnetizing, and its weak, also tested the resistance across the slip rings on the rotor and its down to two ohms. checked the voltage at the battery at 3000 rpm and its don to 13.5v, so guess its had its day. I'm in the UK and trying to find a supplier for a new rotor. I see there's plenty in the US, however, shipping is too costly, any help please?
