Does a springer increase the wheelbase at all?

Looking at profile photos of both stock and springer front ends it appears that installing a springer might increase the wheelbase by an inch +/- (over stock). True or not? Let's say it's a DNA springer since that seems to be used the most. Thanks for any input.

Had my '80 for four years, cut stuff off every now and then; finally getting started after looking at a ton of photos. No completion date in mind, it's just good to have something to do during winter in MN.

A springer won't change the wheel base much unless you rake the steering neck.
It might look that way because of the distance between the solid down tubes of the springer and the axle. But on a springer these tubes are about even with the steering head of the bike.
The stock forks set the tubes ahead of the neck.
Mostly an optical illusion.

if the back forks of the springer are in the same location at the stock forks, then you have the suspension forks, then the axle, it would stand to reason that wheel base would be lengthened somewhat. the distance lengthened would be roughly the length of the plate holding all three together and in line...
