Ducati Speedo on GSXR Front

Working on finishing up my GSXR front end and just got in my ducati 25mm speedo drive, capstan, and shim/washer. I measured the width of the inner spacer on the speedo drive and it is 30mm. Does anyone know if this spacer can be removed from the speedo unit for machining or swapping? I already had a spacer made that I would like to replace. Also, I have to deal with a rotor spacer.
