I'm looking for an early XS1/XS2/TX650 rear brake plate assembly for my XS1-B project. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Pudzy,
if you just want a rear brake plate that'll work it don't matter what year it is because any year will fit and you can broaden your search.
OTOH, if you are authenticity-obsessed enough to really need that "neither use nor ornament" brake warning switch, it's only on the early ones.
FWIW, if you already have a late model backplate one of our XS650s has an early one and we can swap. You pay postage.
