I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine for my XS650 (which came stripped in boxes) and need to order a oil seal kit. I've found this kit from a UK supplier but I'm not sure all the seals will fit my engine.

My bike was imported from the US and is a 79 model 2F0 25155# 3NO XS6502F whatever all that means ?

I take it the bike is the 'special' model ? and I believe there were some differences between the standard and special models .

Should this seal kit be ok or do I need to order another kit ?

All the needed seals are the same in all 650's
I think in this kit, the only missing seal is the one for the rev. counter

thanks thats what I needed to know that the engine seals are all the same. Apparently the gaskets are not the same as they are listed seperately so I naturally assumed the seals might have some differences.

These are probably generic seals and if I did some research I'm sure I could make up a set a lot cheaper than £30.00 ouch! The gasket set £40.00 ! for a common bike these parts sure are expensive
