Gentlemen, I will be rebuilding a Euro 533 crank shortly.

In the past I have used the info below from the XS 650 club of Australia to rebuild 447 cranks.

As the cranks fit will swap between cases I think the specs should be the same, but thinking is not knowing!

Are the clearance specs the same for both model cranks?

What manual has 533 crank specs?

Thanks in advance.

Here are the tolerances required by Yamaha for the XS650 crankshaft.

40 views and no takers............I have no personal experience info to give you....

I haven't read or heard of any difference in the specs between the 553 or 447 con-rods......If there was a difference i would think it would have been noted and shown in this link......shows the 553 con-rod and Yamaha's crank specs with no discerning difference.

Thanks for that 650Skull.
When the rods arrive I will ask someone in the UK what specs they use.
I too suspect they are the same but it would be an expensive mistake.
My backup plan is to buy a Euro spec manual.

Yes,it is the same.
Living in Sweden mean that we have the 533 in our motors.
And overhauled one 533 crank a couple of months ago,I Always measure everything before dissasembly, and was as described in the schematics You have.
It's the same picture in the Euro manual,at least in the ones I have. :)
Anders.
