Ran across this video and wondered if anyone has ever tried this technique for removing broken bolts where the bolt is broken below the surface? I see a lot of posts asking about how to remove snapped bolts, so maybe this could be a solution?

Never on a bolt below the surface but will be trying it. I like the idea of the copper tube. Thanks for posting.

A welder is my go to for rounded nuts or snapped bolts. Even if you have to cut a nut in half to weld it on to a protruding stub on a bolt it works.

I have seen on youtube Alum used for steel bolt in aluminium it takes time and a bit of warmth.
