Bearings arrived today. They do not fit. Both races have same ID, looks right for the lower but too big for top position. Didn't check OD's, marked as for a Kaw.:poke: bag # matches # in auction. Contacted vender.

Ha! Same thing happened to me: just got mine, and bearings are wrong: for a Kawasaki......"Daniel" in Customer Service tried real hard to get me what I need, but no luck. Obviously they've got a cross-reference problem...

Yes, they do. Here's a list of bikes that use the same bearings as the 650 that I found on the "Do the Ton" forum. Notice they're all Yamahas .....

Upper: 25 x 48 x 15.2
Lower: 30 x 48 x 15

Yamaha FZR400R
Yamaha SXR400
Yamaha SX500B/C/D/E (75-78 ), TX500/A (73-74)
Yamaha XS550RK/RJ (82-83), XZ550RK/RJ (82-83)
Yamaha FZ600 (86-88 )
Yamaha SRX600S/SC (86), SRX600T
Yamaha TX650/A (73-74)
Yamaha XJ650G/H//J/K (80-83), XJ650LH (81), XJ650LJ/LK/RJ
(82-83)
Yamaha XS6501/1B/XS2 (70-72), XS650B-H/2F (75-81), XS650SE-SH
(78-81), XS650SJ/SK (82-83)
Yamaha TX750 (73-74)
Yamaha XJ750J/K/MK/RH/RJ/RK (81-83)
Yamaha XV750H/J/K/MK (81-83), XV750SE (82)
Yamaha XV920J/K/MK (82-83), XV920RH/RJ (81-83)
Yamaha XV1000K/L Virago (83-84)

I looked up the kits for some of these other models and they're all wrong too, all the same incorrect 104-1015 kit.

The correct bearing sizes per all balls are
top 25 id 48 od 13 height
bottom 30 id 8 od 12 height

both bearings shipped were 30 id 52 od and 11.75 height

Well they took care of me.
" I have issued a full refund and there is no need to send the bearings back.
Thanks Faith"
The race to the bottom continues

Last time I got bearings, I bought Koyo from Quality Bearings Online. Shipped cheap and overnight via DHL from the UK.

(Sorry, I forgot this thread is about bottom shelf.)
:laugh::laugh:
but do they have bearings to fit the xs steering stem, kinda recall that top bearing is an oddball.
What other cheap alternatives has anyone found?

This chart is from Goran's site and yes, that 15.2mm thick top bearing is rather oddball I'll bet .....
