Faulty needle jet

Hello,

This is quite weird. I am going through the carburetor tuning process and I would like to test out the canadian needle and needle jet for my BS34 carbs.

For the life of me I cannot get the main jet to screw in properly to the canadian needle jet. It is like that for both needle jets and I have tried multiple main jets. The main jet will screw in several turns but then stop. On the stock needle jet it will screw in completely until flush with the surface. It does not go in far enough to lie flat against the washer.

What gives? Are the needle jets faulty?

sounds like a bad one. see if you can chase it with a tap.
when I put canadian needle, and needle jets in a set of 34's everything was fine, the 140 main I put in were fine.
get a magnifing glass and see if there id junk in there.
